Remembering Paul Frank

It is with great sadness that we announce that Paul Frank died on July, 23 2022 at home in New Preston with Linda, his wife of 53 years, at his bedside. He suffered from Parkinson’s Disease. Paul served on the Lake Waramaug Association Board for 25 years, and as its President for many of those years. Giving back to our community was a labor of love. In the town of Washington, he served as Chairman of the Planning Commission, and also served on the Board of the Gunn Memorial Library.

Paul was born in 1933 in New York City to Alfred and Clara Frank. He grew up in Forest Hills and attended Columbia College and Columbia Law School. He practiced law in NYC with Poletti Freidin and later with Warsaw Burstein. He never met a document he couldn’t improve! Paul loved to travel and it was a passion that he and Linda shared. Be it China, the National Parks, or a day trip to scenic New England. In retirement, Paul and Linda moved from the Upper West Side to their weekend home at Lake Waramaug in New Preston. Here, Paul biked around the Lake daily and he loved to take his row boat out on the Lake to enjoy its beauty.

He is predeceased by his daughter Kate Elizabeth Frank and his sister and brother-in-law Rhoda and Arnold Stern. He is survived by his loving son David and his daughter-in-law Kristin of New York City, and his cherished granddaughter Natalie Elizabeth. He was her PopPop. He leaves many special nieces and nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends. He was a man of great integrity and gentle wit. He had a wonderful life.
