'Lake It Grow' - 41 New Trees Have Been Planted at Lake Waramaug State Park with more to come

2024 Update: This year we planted a majority of the new trees in the area about halfway along the lakeside near the Harriet Lee Hall Memorial Bench. This is an area that has lost a large number of trees to disease and old age and needs to have more shade. You’ll see from the video that we now have enough trees to make a significant difference to this part of the lake. However, it will take a number of years to achieve this goal. Thanks to the generous donations from LWA members, friends and neighbors you can see the impact these trees will have in the future. We have now planted 41 trees in the Lake Waramaug State Park. Special thanks to the State Park team for the planting.

Each year, with your help, the Lake Waramaug Association plans to support the planting of dozens more new trees as a part of our mission to “preserve Lake Waramaug and its environs as a natural, historical, residential, and recreational area and to promote the safety, health, and enjoyment of those who use the Lake.” Together we can “Lake It Grow” and ensure Lake Waramaug remains a recreational haven for all now and for years to come. Please visit our Lake It Grow page for more photos and information.

The trees are planted!
