IMPROVING ROAD SAFETY: LAKE IT SLOW Working with the three towns, we convinced CT DOT to reduce the speed limit on Route 45 and add crosswalks around the lake! Our advocacy protected our scenic wood post guide rails on West & North Shore Roads & secured a commitment for much-needed Cheree Point road repair.
PRESERVING NATURAL BEAUTY: LAKE IT GROW Your donations made possible the planting of nearly 30 new trees at the State Park replacing those lost to disease and aging - with many more trees to be planted soon.
ENJOYING THE LAKE IN NEW WAYS: LAKE A HIKE We host free guided hikes on the lake’s watershed trails in partnership with local land preservation programs.

Since 1917, we have worked to fulfill our mission to preserve Lake Waramaug and its environs as a natural, historical, residential, and recreational area and to promote the safety, health, and enjoyment of those who use the Lake.
